Responsible To: West Hillhurst Community Association Board of Directors   

Purpose:    

• To create a sense of community belonging by organizing social events and encourage interaction of residents of West Hillhurst and neighboring communities; 
• To provide opportunities for volunteerism by participating in the planning and implementation of various social & fundraising events to be held at WHCA; 
• To facilitate the exchange of sports equipment for members of the community who may participate in activities at WHCA; 
• To raise funds for WHCA Facility Enhancement. 

Authority: Active Agent   

Tmeframes, Reporting and Deadlines: The Committee is to be ongoing, meeting once every month and will provide a monthly update of activities and upcoming events to the WHCA Board of Directors.     

Composition: Jo Larson, WHCA Board Member   

Joyce Slaney, Community Volunteer & Member at large   

Marie Wildenborg, Community Volunteer & Member at large   

Christa Hill, WHCA General Manager   

Staff Support: Christa Hill, General Manager to attend a monthly meeting and assist with coordinating events.   

Communication with Board Through: Chairperson   

Specific Areas of Responsibility:   

1. Plan and organize community social events        

2. Promote community involvement at social events         

3. Match Volunteers with skill sets and interests
