Program Description
Age Recommendation – Ages 3 and up, Learn the very basics while learning to stay stable on their feet!
When you sign up for the Pre CanSKATE Program offered by West Hillhurst, the emphasis is on fun
& learning basic skating skills.
Your child will earn badges and other incentives while working on the fundamentals of skating.
Through the use of toys, games and skills exercises, our Nationally Certified Skate Canada
Coaches will guide your child through the basics in a group lesson format.
Kids will be grouped according to age and skill level in order to receive as much instruction as possible, with a low student to coach ratio.
Classes include 1 x 30 Minute Group Lessons with a Skate Canada Professional Coach.

Equipment Requirements:
CSA Approved Helmet – Mandatory
Proper Fitting Figure Skates or Hockey Skates
Temperature Appropriate Clothing
Jacket, Snow Pants, or Thermal Pants
Water Resistant Outerwear
Mitts
Proper fitting skates
Hair tied back – Monitory
NO JEANS PLEASE!
Skating dresses are optional

Any Costumes required for performances
Eg: Use of Community Dresses/Pants
for performances.
Club Picture Day Photo session including
One individual picture and One class photo.
